The Case Mate Gelli line has constantly proved itself to be among the best skins on the market for the iDevices so will the iPad 2 version also be described as a winner?
Every Gelli I've reviewed uses the same soft but very clentching high quality plastic and so does this. The grip lends a giant hand to making ones iPad 2 stay comfortably and firmly in your hands. Coming in green, grey and pink is a bit of a shame, the Gelli series usually has much more vibrant colors available but hopefully this will vary with time. The color options aren't the end to it's exterior pattern. With each new Gelli an alternative Geometric design is made way for. The red comes which has a zig zag futuristic design along with the other two colors look kind of like fancy tire tracks. The designs on all three Gelli's look awesome especially as the plastic is semi transparent so the back of your iPad is visible. All this helps you to stand out amongst your crowd!
To obtain your iPad into the situation is relatively easy, it's going to take me less than 10 a few moments and all corners apply rapidly. They feel very satisfying to push and job just fine. A cut out for the camera is around the back with the speaker and the 31 pin dock connector is also cut out. The 30 pin dock connector will require the Apple charging cabel just fine when in the Gelli but things such as the Camera Connection Kit are generally disadvantaged and will require you to slip the bottom of the case off the ipad to insert them. The functionality is sound, actually the sound coming from your speaker isn't held back by anything covering it which we now have found quite rare in the skin range for the iPad 2 to date.
Protection is usually mild. Small drops, bumps and scratches are going to be fended off by the outcome Mate Gelli. Big drops and smacks won't be so easy for it to overcome. The screen is entirely open also which is highly recommended, I think the Smart Cover might have been considered when designing this case so we could us that as well but it's a virtually no go. The Gelli for me can be a case which I will take around the house and into the backyard garden. When traveling you can't truly consider taking this as most of your case. http://www.thepadzone.co.uk
